Why should you personal train with me?

My name is Mark, I am a REPS Level 2 & 3 qualified personal trainer based in Southend on Sea/Rayleigh, Essex, but that’s enough of the qualification talk, you’re on this page asking yourself why would I trust this guy to help me achieve my goals, so let me tell you a bit about my own fitness journey first.

When I was 20 I was severely underweight, standing at 6ft 2 at a little over 9 stones I was the definition of skinny. I joined a gym and hit the weights, however it wasn’t as simple as that, when I wasn’t in the gym I was researching, learning and asking questions all over the internet. The first few years were a steep learning curve for me, realising that there are a lot of myths, lies and just false information on the internet I had to find out the truth by actually trying out the vast amount training techniques, advice and plans I’d read about for so long online to figure out what works and what doesn’t.

6 stone gained and several years later it was time to spread the wealth of knowledge id acquired and apply it to others to help them sculpt the physique they had always wanted. Because I have done the work and gained the knowledge this gives YOU the advantage when training with me. Long gone are the days where people would spend hours on a treadmill while following the latest fad diet to get in shape, that’s just plain boring and dull!

Exercise, believe it or not, can actually be fun, id even go as far as saying it’s a requirement. If you don’t enjoy what you do in or outside of the gym then you’re never going to give it 100%, with me as your personal trainer I aim to create a plan suitable for your goals that is fun to do as well as ensuring that you pick up the same knowledge that I did along the way. Knowledge is power and the more I can pass on to you the better, if you understand WHY you’re doing what you are doing you will benefit more from it.

Every client is different from the next, there is no one size fits all plan or routine that will work for everyone, this is why my clients are treated as individuals with specific goals and needs, you might be looking to drop some body fat, gain some muscle or just get fitter and healthier, whatever your motivation for wanting to step foot inside the gym, I can help ensure you get started on the right track in a safe and healthy way.
